The Hollow falls are the eponymous small waterfall series middle of a small valley wreathed with trees. Situated in the far hills, it and the other valleys surrounding it are somewhat cut off from major civilisation and have a healthy population of Demons, Kami and Naiads that cheerfully defy causality in plain view of the inhabitants. Beyond the small village, the river and the falls, the main other feature of the valley is the depth of the forests and woods which line its sides. Ruined castles, lost landings and deep caverns all hide under the canopy of ever aware forest. It's a good place to go for a walk.

Christmas turned up drenched to the bone with rain and blood in Hollow falls on Christmas day with a few hazy memories of containment cells, a highly resilient bodysuit that she can't take off and not much else. Christmas sees the world not just from the eyes of a trained psionic combatant, but from those of someone who is, in effect, meeting other people for the first time in a non-assassin capacity and has discovered that on the whole they are actually rather funny. She has discovered that she has a strong like for applied logic and tactical challenges, and upon introduction she developed a strong like for strategy games of all kinds, especially RTS and wargaming. She has a slightly unhealthy obsession with Stardock.

Thomas is a Biochemist who has been continuously calling in sick for three years now. Given he still gets paid, he prefers to spend his time messing about with whatever biology has interested him at the moment, with products such as the semi-sentient highly charged fish that power the house. Never say marine biology is useless. He is a strong fencer, which is basically the only one of his hobbies Christmas is yet to best him at.

Ataxia’s parents were hippies, resulting in a weird name, home schooling and a residual anger from years of being subjected to wishy-washy beliefs that sometimes manifests itself in a very particular sense of bloody-mindedness. Always willing to take the time to point out stupidity, Ataxia recognised in teenage years that peer-pressure can be applied to instil positive change in another’s failing viewpoint. Or she’s a bully, she knows it and it’s so much fun. Recognising this in herself, she attempts to harness it if not for good then at least not for evil. The small and the weak are if not protected, then certainly below her concern. She goes after the stupid and nasty actively and passionately with her hallmark overly complex schemes.
